Free Trial

How does the free trial work?

When you start a Pro or Family plan, you get 14 days free with full access to all features. Your card is required to start but you won't be charged until the trial ends.

What happens when the trial ends?

Your subscription becomes active and you're charged for the billing period you chose (monthly or yearly). Stripe sends a reminder email 3 days before the trial ends.

Can I cancel during the trial?

Yes — cancel any time before the trial ends via Settings → Manage billing. You won't be charged anything.

Billing & Payments

How does auto-renewal work?

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. You'll be charged the same amount unless you change or cancel beforehand. Stripe sends a receipt by email after each payment.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly?

Yes. Go to Settings → Manage billing to switch. Yearly is 2 months free compared to paying monthly.

What happens if my payment fails?

Stripe will automatically retry over the following days. Your account will be marked as past due — update your payment method via the billing portal to avoid losing access.

Can I get a refund?

We offer refunds within 7 days of a charge if a billing error occurred. Contact support@homeai.app. A refund does not automatically cancel your subscription.

Cancellation

How do I cancel?

Go to Settings → Manage billing & invoices and cancel in the Stripe portal — no need to contact support.

What happens after I cancel?

You keep full access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account moves to the Free plan automatically.

Will I lose my data if I cancel?

No. All your homes, items, and recipes are kept permanently. You just lose access to paid features after the billing period ends.

Plans & Features

What's the difference between Pro and Family?

Pro is for a single person (no sharing). Family adds sharing with up to 5 members, shared pantry and grocery lists, and unlimited AI scans.

What counts towards the AI scan limit?

Each photo you upload to scan items (pantry, bar, wardrobe) uses one AI scan. The limit resets on the 1st of each month.

How does home sharing work?

On the Family plan, go to Settings → Share your home and invite people by email. They can view or edit based on the permission you set.
