Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully. By creating an account or using Abode (abode.vavyan.com), operated by Vavyan ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Abode is an AI-powered home management platform that helps you organise your pantry, wardrobe, bar, and household items using your phone camera. Features include AI-assisted item scanning, recipe suggestions, grocery list generation, and optional household sharing.
We reserve the right to change, modify, suspend, or discontinue Abode — or any part of it — at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion, with or without notice. We may also modify these Terms at any time. We will endeavour to give you reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of Abode after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access at hello@vavyan.com.
You may not share your account with others, create accounts using false information, or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or restrictions.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete your account and any content associated with it, at any time, without warning, at our sole discretion, including but not limited to violations of these Terms.
Abode offers free and paid subscription plans. Prices are displayed in the app before you subscribe and may change from time to time. We will give you reasonable notice before any price increase affecting your existing subscription.
Pre-payment: Paid subscriptions are pre-paid at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually). Your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each renewal period.
Non-refundable: All fees pre-paid by you are non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or as we determine in our sole discretion. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact support@vavyan.com within 7 days of the charge.
Free trials: Where offered, free trials begin immediately. Your payment method will be charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before it expires.
You may cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Manage billing. Once cancellation is processed, you will not be charged for future billing periods, but you retain access to paid features until the end of the current period.
We may cancel or terminate your subscription at any time for any reason. If we cancel for reasons other than a breach of these Terms, we will issue a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your current billing period.
You agree not to:
You own your content. Photos, item descriptions, notes, and other data you create in Abode remain yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you submit, and for all data you transmit through the service.
We do not use your content for any purpose beyond providing Abode to you.
Recipe suggestions, item identification, cocktail ideas, and other AI-generated outputs are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. They may not always be accurate. Always verify AI-generated suggestions, particularly for dietary, health, or allergen-related decisions. See our Disclaimers for more information.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or experience unexpected issues. We will give advance notice of scheduled maintenance where possible.
Abode, its design, software, and all related intellectual property belong to Vavyan or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the service without our written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vavyan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of Abode.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees you paid us in the 6 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vavyan and its employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of Abode.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
